Yes, I haven’t published on my website in some time. I allowed life to take over and became absorbed by many things.
I still have that problem, with a forever mounting to-do list. But I have been writing.
I recently participated in a writing workshop that lasted for half the year, and I pulled off a few first drafts I am proud of.
It inspired me to do more—more than I’ve been doing, more than I’ve accomplished.
In my absence, I found that sometimes we measure things in a way that only considers production and sacrifices growth. We’re easily able to separate these two things in our efforts. We can sometimes go very far with one over the other. But both are important—unto themselves and even more when together.
I found there was some growth I wanted in my writing.
I wanted to develop new techniques, raise awareness of shaping a story, and find new ways of putting adventures together. All of this was done with you in mind.
I’m not going to promise any new content anytime soon. Although I have a few pieces done, I want to revise some. Still, I want to add and subtract some things from others.
I can say that in the nearer future, you can expect to start seeing new content getting posted.
You can also expect a little more in the way of updates on projects I have going on and appearances. I’ve made a few of the sends; I simply haven’t brought them up.
